Forest Hill Bowling Club
The evening started with the members gathering for "aperitifs". It is always nice to see the members dressed to something different to greys or whites. There was some dispute as to whether the men should ties or not! After this we all sat down for a splendid three course meal, served with red & white wine. For each course there were at THREE choices. The meal culminated with a selection of cheeses, coffee and After Eights mints. From the laughter coming from the various tables it would seem that the members were enjoying not just the food and drink but each other’s company.
The whole meal was cooked by Maralyn Woodward with the aid of her commis chefs Ann Debs Julie and Chris Martyn.
The meal was followed by the presentation of cups, shields and plaques to the winners and runners up of this year’s competitions. The range of competitions meant that a large number of our members came forward to be rewarded for their success.
There no dancing this year! The evening finished about 11.30pm although the washing up and clearing up meant that some members did not leave till after mid night.

Many thanks to all those whose hard work, in the kitchen, preparing vegetables, setting tables, shopping, organising, collecting the money, serving behind the bar, decorating the club house, washing up and clearing away the rubbish, all who helped to make the evening enjoyable and a success.
